Coming January 2024: The new Microsoft Certified: Business Central Developer Associate certification (MB-820)

Today I would like to share an exciting news about Business Central.
In January 2024, microsoft will release the new Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer Associate certification and its associated Exam MB-820: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer (beta).

Coming January 2024: The new Microsoft Certified: Business Central Developer Associate certification
In January 2024, we’ll release the new Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer Associate certification and its associated Exam MB-820: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer (beta).

The new certification is focused on Dynamics 365 Business Central, a comprehensive business management solution for small and mid-sized organizations that automates and streamlines business processes, connecting sales, service, finance, and operations to help organizations work smarter, adapt quicker, and perform better. In this role, Business Central developers create apps that extend the solution—whether developing new modules or modifying existing ones—and are responsible for troubleshooting and debugging issues in the system.

As you know, Business Central’s certification has only been Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate released in 2020. More details: Exam MB-800: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant

For BC developers, there are no Microsoft certifications.

At BC Tech Days, Microsoft announced that Developer certification for Business Central is coming.

Now the date is finally set👏👏👏. As for learning materials, there are still four months to go, and you can also look for some information on MS Learn in addition to Programming in AL (MS Docs).

1. Validate skills: New Dynamics 365 Business Central Developers certification
Take advantage of the discounted beta exam offer. The first 300 people who take Exam MB-820 (beta) on or before February 21, 2024, can get 80 percent off market price.

To receive the discount, when you register for the exam and are prompted for payment, use code MB820LMrocks. This is not a private access code. The seats are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. As noted, you must take the exam on or before February 21, 2024. Please note that this beta exam is not available in Turkey, Pakistan, India, or China.
