Business Central 2022 wave 2 (BC21) new features: Easily find apps to connect to core services (easily discover and install third-party apps)

I will continue to test and share some new features that I hope will be helpful.

Easily find apps to connect to core services:

Business value:
Easily identify the right app that connects your business to external business productivity services in your market space.
Feature details:
In this release wave, we add a new experience in Business Central so that users can easily discover and install third-party apps that connect to external business productivity services, such as banks. This capability is powered by AppSource and provides an additional layer of app suggestions to let users filter by category, so they can easily choose the type of offer they are looking for.

Now in the BC 21 Preview version, we can briefly test this feature.

My test environment:
Version: NL Business Central 21.0 (Platform 21.0.45803.0 + Application 21.0.45833.0)

You can now find two new features, Banking Apps and Connectivity Apps.

You need to allow the request when you open it for the first time.

Banking Apps:

Connect to banks
This page lists apps that you can use to connect with banks and easily import bank transactions and transfer funds. You can filter the list to find apps that offer connections in specific countries.

You can find third-party apps related to banking suggested by Microsoft on this page.

You can choose Install on the page to install the extension directly.

Of course these apps can also be found in the Extension Marketplace.

This is a good tendency, as the number of apps in AppSource grows, partners and users may have a difficult to find the best solution to use, and this improvement solves that problem. Go ahead and give it a try.😁

PS:
1. The apps currently displayed in Connectivity Apps is the same as in Banking Apps. (There may be a difference later)

Connect your business
These apps can connect your business to external services that increase productivity by automating processes. For example, you can connect to your banks and automatically import bank transactions. These apps are easy to install and set up, which you can do directly from this page. Choose an app to learn more about its features and pricing.
