Dynamics 365 Business Central: Automatically assign a Salesperson Code/Purchaser Code when orders created by multiple users (Individual Salespers./Purch. Code)

Hi, Readers.
Last week I saw a question on the forum, how to automatically assign a Salesperson Code/Purchaser Code based on the current user when creating an order in Business Central, such as a sales order.

As you know, the value of Salesperson code takes the value on the Customer master by default. Let’s see a example.

So, is it possible to use the standard feature to automatically assign Salesperson Code based on the current user without customization?

Yes, It’s not very difficult. You just need to do two things. (The following example is for a sales order, and the same is true for purchase order)

1. Set Salesperson Code to blank on the Customer Card.

2. Go to User Setup page and specify the Salespers./Purch. Code for the user.
