Minor update 19.1 for Dynamics 365 Business Central was generally available last month.

Today I would like to share another new feature (Bug fix?) released from BC19.1.
Shipping agent information is copied from sales orders to warehouse shipments:
Business value:
You can create warehouse shipments from sales orders faster and with less friction by automatically copying information about the shipping agent from the order to the shipment. This helps ensure that warehouse workers get this important information, and that your goods get to where they need to be.
Feature details:
Sales orders and warehouse shipments both contain information about the shipping agent. This includes the External Document No., Shipping Agent Code, and the Shipping Agent Service Code fields. To save you time, when you use the Create Warehouse Shipment action to create a warehouse shipment from a sales order, Business Central will copy the information in those fields from the sales order to the shipment.
It’s a small improvement, but it certainly makes the system more convenient.
First let’s see what is Shipping Agents feature in the BC.
Set Up Shipping Agents: You can set up a code for each of your shipping agents and enter information about them. If you enter an Internet address for the shipping agent, and the agent provides package tracking services on the Internet, you can use the automatic package tracking feature.
When you set up shipping agents on your sales orders, you can also specify the services that each shipping agent offers.
For each shipping agent, you can set up an unlimited number of services, and you can specify a shipping time for each service.
For example: You can set up shipping agents on your sales orders.
Then choose Actions -> Warehouse -> Create Warehouse Shipment
1 Warehouse Shipment Header has been created.
Theshipping agents information will be copied.

1. If you use Get Source Documents… on Warehouse Shipment, theshipping agents information will not be copied.
2. Only the agent information in the Header will be copied.
