Business Central 2022 wave 2 (BC21) new features: Access attachments on additional list pages (Attachments FactBox on more pages)

Minor update 21.3 for Business Central 2022 release wave 2 has been released last week. Learn more: Link.

Some new features are also available with this minor update. I will continue to test and share these features that I hope will be helpful.

The following information is mentioned in the What’s new and planned for update 21.3 for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central online 2022 release wave 2.

Business value:
Being able to quickly get to file attachments that contain additional information about a record, such as customer and vendor contracts, improves productivity. For example, fast access to contract details can help you be more informed when you respond to customer or vendor queries or handle various audit scenarios.

To make it easier to access the files attached to records, the Attachments FactBox, which contains the files, is available on several additional list pages:
Fixed Assets
VAT Returns
Employees
Items
Resources
Purchase Return Orders
Vendors
Posted Sales Credit Memos

In the FactBox on most cards and documents, you can attach files, add links, and write notes. To view or change any of these attached information types, you must first open the Attachments tab in the FactBox. You can attach any type of file, containing text, image, or video, to a card or document. This is useful.

This update is relatively simple, let’s take a look at the comparison between BC 21.2 and BC 21.3 will be easy to understand.

So with BC 21.3 update, Microsoft has added Attachments FactBox to more pages.
