Business Central 2025 wave 2 (BC27): Adjust width of Copilot, help, and page scripting panes

Dynamics 365 Business Central

Hi, Readers.
The public preview for Dynamics 365 Business Central 2025 release wave 2 (BC27) is available. Learn more: Link.

I will continue to test and share some new features that I hope will be helpful. In this post, I would like to talk about Adjust width of Copilot, help, and page scripting panes.

Adjust width of Copilot, help, and page scripting panes:

Business value:

You want to work optimally with Business Central, especially when you need extra room for information in side panes like Copilot, help, and page scripting. You can now resize these panes, which assist with tasks and provide guidance, allowing you to easily and clearly view more details whenever necessary.

From Business Central 2025 wave 1 (BC26), we can resize the FactBox pane.

I later contacted Microsoft and asked why Copilot pane couldn’t be adjusted. The response I got was that it would be updated in a future version. I didn’t expect it to be so fast.

With this wave (BC27), you can resize the Copilot pane, used for chat and agents, the help pane, and the page scripting pane in Business Central by dragging the divider between the main content area. Key capabilities include:

  • Panes resize to specific proportions, so the main content area stays visible.
  • Content in panes reflows smoothly to fill the available space.
  • The browser remembers your adjustments the next time you open the pane, similar to other lightweight adjustments like changing the width of FactBoxes.
  • Double-clicking the divider resets the pane to its default width.

Let’s see more details.

Great. Then I also found that Microsoft has added a Collapse feature this time, which allows these three features to be minimized to the far right.

However, only one can be retained, and the collapsed state will be overwritten by the next collapse.

Small update, but it makes life easier. Give it a try!!!😁

END

Hope this will help.

Thanks for reading.
