Hi, Readers.
Dynamics 365 Business Central 2026 wave 1 (BC28.1) is generally available. More details: Cumulative Update Summary for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (May, 2026)
I will continue to test and share some new features that I hope will be helpful. In this post, I would like to talk about the new Resize button (action).
This is a minor update that I have confirmed in both the BC28.0 and BC28.1 Sandbox environments, but not in the Production environment (2026.06.03).
In 2019 release wave 2 (BC15), adjusting the width of any column just got easier. Without having to start personalizing, you can drag the border of any column header to resize it. Similar to Microsoft Excel, you can double-click the border (AutoFit) to automatically size the column so that the caption and value of all columns on the screen are displayed efficiently. More details: Resize columns with fewer clicks

Since column headers and their edges can sometimes be difficult to select, Microsoft has added a new “Resize” button to the drop-down arrow menu (context menu)
Let’s see more dtails, first select a cell on the list, choose the drop-down arrow.

Alternatively, you can directly right-click the name of the column you want to adjust.

And then select Resize action.

As you can see, the space between the columns is now highlighted, and you can directly drag or double-click this edge line.

PS: In the production environment

Furthermore, this button is not limited to List pages, Microsoft has added this option to all list views across the BC.

In fact, with the current UI, you don’t even need to click the “Resize” button. A vertical blue line will automatically highlight whenever you hover your mouse over the edge of a column.

Great. Give it a try!!!😁
END
Hope this will help.
Thanks for reading.
