Hi, Readers.
Today I would like to share another mini tip about Business Central, how to monitor User AI Consumption Data within BC (Agent consumption overview).
In Regarding the cost of the Copilot/Agent features (Manage consumption-based billing for agent capabilities) we briefly discussed that selected agent capabilities in Business Central use consumption-based billing, charging per use. These capabilities use Copilot Credits for AI interactions and tasks, like retrieving information and responding to prompts.
Copilot Credits are the billing units that measure usage. The number of Copilot Credits consumed by an agent depends on the design of the agent, how often customers interact with it, and the features they use. Learn more about Copilot Credits in Billing rates and management.
Microsoft Copilot Studio pricing:

You can view Copilot Credit capacity and usage for prepaid capacity and pay-as-you-go in the Power Platform admin center. Learn more in Manage Copilot Credits and capacity.
- Sign in to the Power Platform admin center.
- On the navigation pane, select Licensing.
- In the Licensing pane, under Products, select Copilot Studio.
- Select the Summary tab.

So, is there a way to track the actual consumption of Copilot credits within Business Central? Yes, based on my verification, this functionality is already included in BC27.5. Let’s see more details.
Select Search (Alt+Q), enter Agent, and then choose the related link.

Then you can open Agents page and selecting the agent you want to configure.

PS: If there are no agents in the environment, the following notification will be displayed.
There are no agents created yet.

Select the agent for which you want to check usage, and then choose ‘View consumption data‘.

Today’s focus is the ‘Agent Consumption Overview’ page, where we can track usage and metrics.

On this page, you can find the amount consumed for each step in the Copilot credits field, and see the total consumption amount for this period in Total task Copilot credits.
Total task Copilot credits
Specifies the total number of Copilot credits consumed by the agent task.

You can view the full consumption log by clicking the ‘Total task Copilot credits‘.

This allows you to monitor each Agent’s consumption status directly, eliminating the need to log into the Power Platform Admin Center.
Give it a try!!!😁
PS:
1. The Agent Task page also displays Copilot credit consumption, clicking it will take you to the Agent consumption overview page.

2. Consume available Copilot Credits with no extra setup
END
Hope this will help.
Thanks for reading.
