Dynamics 365 Business Central: “Hide Company Bank Account” setup in General Ledger Setup (Update Company Bank Account on posted documents)

Today I would like to briefly share a new setup in General Ledger Setup, “Hide Company Bank Account”.

This is a new setting added in Business Central 2025 wave 1 (BC26). I just noticed it recently.

In BC25.5 and previous versions:

Let’s take a brief look at what it can be used for.

Sometimes you have to update a posted document because information that is relevant to the document has changed. On a posted sales document, this can be the shipping agent’s package tracking number, for example. On a posted purchase document, this can be a payment reference text. More details: Edit Posted Documents

On the Posted Sales Invoices (143, List) page, select the document that you want to edit.

And then choose the Update Document action. Alternatively, open the document and then choose the action.

Then on the Posted Sales Inv. – Update page, you can edit some fields. The page contains a subset of the fields on the original document, of which some are non-editable fields that are shown for information only.

Then there is a Company Bank Account Code field here, and the above setting controls whether this field is displayed.
Hide Company Bank Account Off:

This field is taken from Sales Invoice Header (112).

That’s all.
So if you are also seeing this setting for the first time, please give it a try.😁

PS:
1. According to my test, this feature is only valid for Posted Sales Invoice. For example, this field exists in Posted Service Inv. – Update page, but it is not controlled by the new setup.

And the Posted Purch. Invoice – Update page does not include the Company Bank Account Code field. So it is not affected by this new setup.
