Hi, Readers.
Today I would like to share another mini tip about Business Central, how to quickly change your password.
Business Central online requires that you use a work, or school, email address to sign up. Business Central online doesn’t support email addresses provided by consumer email services or telecommunication providers. This includes outlook.com, hotmail.com, gmail.com, and others. More details: What email address can I use with Business Central online?
If we want to change the password, we usually follow the steps below
- Go to account.microsoft.com and if you’re not already signed in, sign in with the username and current password for the account you want to update.

PS: You can also click your username in the upper right corner and choose View account to open this page.

- From the navigation header, select Security and because you’re accessing sensitive info, you’ll need to enter the password for this account again.

- From the Password security tile, select Change my password.

- On the Change your password page, enter your new password. And select Submit.

PS: If you couldn’t change your password this way, see Reset your Microsoft account password.
There is actually a way to open the Change your password page directly from the BC UI. Let’s see more details.
1. Click the Settings icon in the upper right corner

2. Choose View all under Microsoft 365

3. Then you can find Password -> Change your password

The Change your password page will open.

Very simple, give it a try!!!😁
PS: If you are an administrator, when a user requests a new password, or you receive a password reset request, you can reset user password in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
