Business value:

Digitalize document management of manufacturing-related documents, such as drawings or inspection reports, by attaching them directly to production bill of materials, routings, and orders. Access important documentation on the go, ensuring an efficient production flow.
In the FactBox on most cards and documents, you can attach any type of file, containing text, image, or video, to a card or document. This is useful, for example, when you want to store a customer’s invoice as a PDF file on the related sales invoice in Business Central.

But this doesn’t work for all pages in Business Central. In Business Central 2022 wave 2 (BC21), Microsoft added Attachments FactBox on more pages. More details: Business Central 2022 wave 2 (BC21) new features: Access attachments on additional list pages (Attachments FactBox on more pages)

And in Business Central 2024 wave 1 (BC24), Microsoft has made document attachments available on pages in Service Management.

With this wave (BC26), Microsoft has once again added support for attachments to another Premium feature, manufacturing.
The Document Attachment FactBox is available in multiple places, such as: (In the current Public Preview version, the following pages are not all added. Maybe Microsoft will add them in the official version)

- Production BOMs (page 99000787)

- Released Production Orders (page 9326)
- Finished Production Order (page 99000867)
- Finished Production Orders (page 9327)

- Production Order List (page 99000815)
You can also choose the Attachment action to go to document attachments from lines on the following pages:
- Simulated Prod. Order Lines (page 99000913)
- Planned Prod. Order Lines (page 99000814)

- Firm Planned Prod. Order Lines (page 99000830)
- Released Prod. Order Lines (page 99000832)
- Finished Prod. Order Lines (page 99000868)
Use the new Flow to Production Trx toggle in the Attached Documents page to control how documents attached to items, production BOMs, or routings flow to production order lines.

Note:
Microsoft don’t support attachments on the component level. Microsoft also don’t support attachments on production BOM versions or routing versions.
Great. Give it a try!!!😁
