In this post, I would like to share a very strange problem I saw recently, user-entered data cannot be saved in Business Central UI.
For example, when adding a note
Even though the value has been entered, the following error message is displayed.
Note must be filled in. Enter a value.
And the Work Description entered on the Sales Order cannot be saved.

Why? When you look closely at the input box, you will find an icon in the lower right corner that has nothing to do with BC. After clicking it, you can see that it comes from Grammarly.

This is a Google Chrome extension.

This is very useful in non-English countries.
But when it checks, it seems to temporarily save the input data in the cache, and it will be actually entered into the input box after you confirm. But BC does not support this method. So the solution is very simple, just disable ot uninstall this chrome extension.
With Business Central 2019 release wave 2, released October 2019, users switch to the modern experience in the browser (“the web client”), if you encounter similar problems in the future, please check your browser extensions as well.

PS: If you open Chrome in Incognito mode, you will not encounter this problem because the browser does not load any extensions.
